Living Lands
Understanding ecosystems.
Communicating knowledge & futures in a new way.
Interactive and experience oriented.
What?
“Living Lands” aims to communicate knowledge about climate change and biodiversity in a new, interactive and experience-oriented way.
Simultaneously, constructive visions of the future and possible solutions will be presented.
How?
Augmented reality is used in combination with a thematic poster as a projection surface and an AR-app, to visualize these complex topics in interactive 3D models.
Where?
The Project is based on the world famous UNESCO World Heritage Site and tourist hotspot: The Jungfrau-Region. This is the ideal foundation for the mission of Living Lands.

The vision.
The vision is a society that has developed a deep understanding of ecological and ethical responsibility. It has recognized the urgent need for systemic change and is determined to demand and help shape this change at an economic and political level, while at the same time making its own contribution.
The process.
Show status quo.
Understanding the current systems, their problems, interrelationships, and consequences. The causes, correlations and responsibilities are analyzed.
01
Present new perspectives.
Demonstrate the potential for systemic change. Provide a clear idea of what these new futures could look like and what benefits they would bring for people and the environment.
02
Present solutions.
To show concrete solutions for implementing change and how the future scenarios outlined can be achieved. Both the necessary measures and the social mechanisms that need to be used are explained.
03
How?
By turning knowledge transfer into an experience.
The idea is a process-oriented, interdisciplinary medium. A physical topic poster is enhanced by augmented reality in the form of 3D visualizations that can be interacted with. These enable a new, experience-oriented transfer of knowledge. The combination of interactive and playful elements opens up a unique opportunity to break away from the linear information flow of traditional media and explore a wide range of topics in real space.
